Nate Diaz only a blue belt?

Unless the color on my tv was off, did i see him coming out w/ a blue belt tonight? For someone who's main weapons are submissions and is pretty good at them I was thinkin he'd be higher than a blue, also the fact that his bro Nick is a black belt, and I would assume they started training together near or at the same time, made me think he'd be at least a purple or brown. Is the Cesar Gracie academy really strict on belt promotions or something?

Purple, and Nick just barely got his black.

Cesar ain't joking about those rankings, it's really stiff and a great honor to be even considered for purple or brown.

With that being said I've read Nick say that Nate actually has the better BJJ of the pair of them, Cesar may also take time training into consideration with his gradings.
