My goal is to teach myself to do the following Judo throws:

-Ashi Guruma
-Hane Goshi
-Ippon Seoinage
-Koshi Guruma

I'm going to do it by writing down the motions and movements on a piece of paper and take it to classes, spending 2 weeks on each throw. When open rolling starts im going to pick one and just keep going for it.

I hope it works.

btw do guys do stuff just to improve aspects of your game? For example i spent 2 weeks on using the cross guard/ going for omo platas during sparring to improve my hip movement in my guard... It worked..

Yep, this is a big thing with me. Pick areas to focus on that will build valuable general movement skills, not just various useful moves. For example, I am working on standing passes because I want to build my standing posture and defense to open guard sweeps, not because I like them or are good at them.

I have several goals currently, some are smaller, short term goals, others are long term goals that may take years. Others are short term goals that I hope to keep up for years . I am a Judo player so my goals should reflect that- some may be "different" then that of a BJJer or sub grappler.

1. I'm trying to lose weight so that I can stay in my -90kg weight class but be a much leaner and muscled 90kg.
2. Get my conditioning up to where it doesnt become a limiting factor to how many rounds I can go during open mat or what techniques I want to do- I want to be able to try out new things instead of gassing and then resting on my laurels doing things I already have down.
3. Work on my escapes from pins- in ne waza that is my biggest issue.
4. The big one... Win next years Jr. Nationals before I am forced into the senior divisions.

To work on this I have been doing judo at night- 2 hours a session, 5-6 times a week, as well as working out each morning for an hour to 2 hours doing things like running, anaerobic conditioning work, and lifting. I've also completely changed my diet lately, cutting out all of the crap; I now eat a lower fat diet, only taking in "good fats", I drink a huge amount of water each day. I have also cut out white flower products and am having them instead with whole grains.

my approach to jiu jitsu is more of a "roller" than a "driller" some of it has to do with the fact that i love to roll and consider it to be THE PILLAR of bjj, some of it has to do with the fact that i don't have alot time to train, and some of it has to do with the WAY i spar. I have alot of people who are white belts/low blue belts. When i roll with these people i don't care if i win or loose. I will basically "drill" the same things with them for 5 min. Ofcourse i won't do it so blatently that they would get upset but i do use guards/passes/movements that i want to improve upon and at a lower speed.

at BLANKO,

definetely agree with that philosophy, the idea of practice and rolling allows your body to gain fluidity, and some rolling is always better than no rolling

I need to get better from my back. Pulling standard subs like applying the triangle and armbars from the back. I don't seem to get the hip movement right for the armbar, but it's getting better. Anyone has any tips on the hip movement? Just roll and let it come?

Sorry if my english is bad
