I am reading the thread but only to page 25. Im planning on going to Rio from June to December. I travel/tour extensively and am pretty savy to making shit work. When you guys talk about 5-600 for these apartments, what could I expect for apartments in poorer areas or run down apartments? I dont eat out much (Im vegan so its easier to cook) so all I need is a mattress, stove and a toilet. I dont care much about comfort stuff. Also, is it possible to find rooms to sublet or am I better off hunting apartments?

ok you're on the list! We will start taping on the 15th and hopefully get it turned out in a fast way.

The cost is $20 for the no gi dvd and probably $25 (depending on how much it costs for the materials...no more than $25). I should be able to ship out both DVD's for $50 dollars there is no way in hell that it'll cost you more than $50 bucks for both, if it turns out to cost a lot for shipping or materials I'll just eat that out of my end of the profit.

There are 32 moves on the no gi dvd and I'm thinking 25 moves on the gi DvD. The only difference that I think you're going to see pre and post Brazil is my homeless beard

Gerbil,

what are you putting on your gi dvd? What are you primarily focusing on? No matter what, put me on the list for teh gi material. I feel i owe you some money anyway for the enjoyment I've gotten out of this blog. And please remember to let me know when you have the book about your trip written, cuase I want to be on the list for that one too.
thanks

Awesome so far. I'm only at page 22 LOL, but I'll get caught all the way up in the next couple of days. Thanks for doing this it's great. I wish I'd gotten into BJJ when I was in my 20's, instead of my 30's. Having 2 kids, a house and a career makes it rather hard to do anything remotely close to this I guess I'll just have to live vicariously through the Gerbil.

Cheers.

I'm a little sad to see that your adventure is over... it's been a lot of fun seeing brazil through your eyes and hearing about your training experiences.

Will you be accepting paypal for the new dvd?

Unless he is developing his own website store, I think the easiest thing for him to do is set up an ebay store which is more secure. Then people could have a couple options for buying his stuff either through him directly or through ebay. I suppose he could also set up an amazon store but not sure how that works.

my adventures are far from over

I guess I could do the thing, I'll look into it for sure. Thanks for the advice on that.

New blog coming on Sunday guys, I've been training and teaching. Things are going well and you should enjoy reading about it.
