is it better to get the legs using your hands in a straight jab like functuion or in a wide hook like function, at least in the initial stage when getting the legs.

Also, I find that in Judo it is tough to get more than your palms/fingers behind the outside of the other guy's legs because he keeps using their hands to push your gi away.

Do it just like you would in wrestling
