Here's a pic we took today of me & our BB, Enio Garcia. He was given his BB by Ratinho (yeah, I had to look that one up too), but he's a pilot for Qatar Airways now. When he came over here 4 years ago, he started the group with just 2 local guys that wanted to learn BJJ. Now our average class size is about 15-20, which is saying a lot for this area of the world. Thank god things worked out the way they did...
And here's an action shot of our mini tourney we did against the Saudi team today. I won by points, 13-4, but I couldn't continue as a nagging injury to my right arm was definitely pushed to the limit during my match. My opponent was a very strong guy... some kind of African wrestling champ, I believe. More information will be forthcoming... gonna make a post about our clubs getting together and having a mini-tourney. It was a lot of fun and lots of new friendships made. Great stuff...
And lastly, here is just a funny shot from the office 2 days ago. Lots of Filipinos work here and they tend to be on the diminutive side.
