Ever just have one of those days...?

Where everything is off? Like you can't maintain any type of control for that long or finish a submission? Man I felt totally out of sync today, almost makes me want to stop doing BJJ for a week or so then come back. But I know it would be better for me to just push on and keep training. Any of you guys ever feel like this?

Everyone feels that, take a few days off and let your brain/body reset and rest. I've taken a few days off now and I'm ready to get back training and improving the cauliflower ear. Bawitdaba.

One of the blue belts at my school said this is a symptom of someone getting ready to launch themselves to a new plateau. So, this might be a good thing.

I had this happen to me recently. I came back to training after taking a month off to heal a shoulder injury and I felt like I was starting all over again. I'm hoping it'll pass but it definetely shook up my confidence.

Its a rollercoaster......I have been training hard every week for a solid year and around the 11th month and being promoted to blue...I was mentally drained a bit and was a little bit in a funk. take a few days off and relax . After a few days off you get the itch to get back and train. I am just realizing now how much more I need to learn and improve on.

Some nights you're the hammer, and some nights you're the nail.
