Judo>BJJ PROOF!

the BJJ guy seems to be a black belt and he is put on his back and promptly choked out!

Aussies?

take your BJ Penn nuthugging and be gone

Ezekiel seems to be a BJJ achilles heel

LoL at this Propaganda

* this is all in jest I am a vet on this board and a grappling fan in general, a self confessed judoka but now a BJJ/SW guy to, lords knows I have been humbled alot during these last few months. and to be real waht nags me the msot isn't tapping it is being pinned by guys half my weight

to spark some debate thou i do think Yoshida did choke Royce out, we all know Royce as refused to tap in the past and tapping to a judoka would have meant losing Pride

BJJ and Judo are too similar to start saying one is superior to the other... They are practically the same.

I know it's a joke, but hasn't EVERYTHING in this thread been discussed to death?

What does it prove? Nothing much - only that a BJJ black-belt is not invulnerable.

It's been a while since we've have a BJJ blue belt = judo black-belt or BJ Penn etc video ... I think people are respecting judo a bit more. I also think the level of BJJ "awareness" is growing as more and more judoka cross-train.

You've got to assume a judoka entering a BJJ competition has some proficiency in newaza, or he wouldn't be entering. Also this seems to be in NZ, not Australia.

NZ is actually pretty strong in Judo, but less so in BJJ, IIRC. (New Zealanders correct me if I'm wrong). So the level of BJJ competition may not be quite as advanced ... ?

getting ezekiel'ed from full guard is not something i can really believe happening to a legit bjj BB though... he didn't even attempt correct defence there..?
