12-6/North South Position Questions

I really love the 12-6/North South positions, I usually go for an armbar from that position. I really want to expand on that area and was wondering what you guys know about techniques from that position.

Any links, tips, instructionals etc are welcome.

Kimuras are my main submission from north-south. Just work to grab the opposite wrist and dig the other through their armpit (until you can grab your own wrist). Turn them on their side to expose the arm and sit on their head with your knees tight to the sides to maintain the position. Spin to armbar if they defend by holding their gi or hands.

I'll often catch a reverse triangle while they try to escape and grab my legs wrong. Not many will tap to this, but they can't escape it while I'm getting the armlock.

My favorite is to grip their lapels in their armpits, then sit back and them into my lap for rear mount.

I love to use elbow hooks, kind of dificult to explain but basically you wrap one of their arms to your body and then kick your legs underneath you so that you have a sitting position with your feet by their knees and they are still on their back. You then hook one of your legs over theirs (to stop them rolling over backwards) and arch backwards with their forearm underneath your armpit and their elbowshould be in the crook of your arm, just like a heelhook. arching will put a lot of pressure on the shoulder so be very careful.
