Joint Pain

I've been doing Muay Thai for years and started doing BJJ recently. After every training session my joints are killing me to the point where I can't even finish my training. Anyone else experience joint pain when grappling? Usually our classes consist of 30 minutes of technical work and 30 minutes of all out rolling.

what joints? i heard that glucosimin and chromatin really help, but can't say i used it myself. if you just started, it takes some time for your body to get used to bjj. give yourself a little bit of time, you will be sore. how old are you?

mostly my elbows but sometimes shoulder pain. Ya i'm going to give glucosamine a shot. I figured it would take my body some time to get used to it but i still train Muay Thai 3 hours a week and now BJJ for 4 hours a week and i still lift weights (olympic lifts, compound movements) 3 times a week. I think I might also be overtraining.

are you sure it's the "joint"? it could be the muscles around the joint maybe? I find that my subscapularis hurts alot. A massage therapist should be able to fix problems 90% of the time.

my pain doesnt last long. It's intense pain for about an hour then it starts to subside. I'll ask a message therapist to see what they but i doubt they can help me.

pretty good i think...i stretch about 3 times a day for about 15 minutes each time after a warmup. I've been doing this for years because of Muay Thai but how can flexibility affect the elbows?
