One purple I spent alot of training with was really into this approach & had much success with sweeps & triangles off this position.

19 x 0 --- For real???

Ryan always looked very technical to me. I'd be surprised he got run over by a bus like that. I'd also like to hear the details.

Dude, I think my buddy Marcos was supose to fight him this weekend. What's the details on this match? I haven't been to jiu-jitsu yet this week, but if it was Marcos that beat him I'll give you the details when I find out.

Yes it is Marcos Torregrossa, 19-0. Multiple time Mundials champ at blue and purple belts if I'm not mistaken? Doesn't surprise me. The guy's a very good brown belt. He went on to the finals and lost to Chris Moriarty (Alliance, why this guy's still a brown belt amazes me) by triangle/armbar.

Marcos is a bad ass, but lets not inflate his cerditials. He did win Mudials as a Blue, but I think as a purple was knocked out in his fourth or fifth match (which is still doing pretty good, but he didn't place). Marcos tears me up on a regular basis. It's no fun, but I supose it's good for me

Hall doesn't look very athletic; I bet once you have somebody technical enough to negate his slick triangle guard game, he gets into trouble.

That's one of the problems with relying too heavily on just one strategy. If your opponent figures out how to counter it, you're screwed. Sometimes guys can get pretty darn far being one-dimensional, but they are just setting themselves up for the fall.
