Has grappling ever helped you out with chicks?

I know this is a weird question and this might be headed toward the wasteland but, BJJ has helped me out a few times with girls and I find it quite interesting.

We all know women dig fighters and training has helped me out in the conversation department but, there are a few events that BJJ has really played a big part in my game.

The first incident happened when I was at a bar in Davis, CA with my cousin and his girlfriend. I was wearing my OTM shirt with JIU JITSU printed on it and some random chick walks up to me and asks me if I know Royce Gracie? To make a long story short at the end of the night instead of leaving with my cousin, I left with that girl and her 2 roommates.

The next incident is when I truly realized how great using grappling in converstion is. I got this girls number at the mall and the next day asked her out to lunch. I had just picked her up and was driving to where we were going to eat. I figure small talk was appropriate so I asked her about herself and we started chit chatting. I mentioned to her that us jiu jitsu guys probably have more men in between our legs then women. She replied with "I will have to change that!" Thinking she was playing around I shot back with "Well forget about lunch lets start on that." Then she said "Can't we do both." So on we went to a hotel room after lunch.

This might be an odd topic but, I am sincerly interested in hearing if this happens to other people. Again this is not a joke and I hope it does not get moved to the wasteland where the replies will get unbelievebly ignorant.

It only helped me out with the girls who train BJJ in the same school (in the past when I was single). Girls don't appreciate it out side of the grappling circle. At least this has been my experience.

I think with MMA becoming more popular, girls will start being more interested in BJJ guys. But I agree with GrapplingDummy, girls outside the grappling circle don't appreciate it nearly as much as they should.

I don't like training with girls. Im in judo where there is lots of girls. I had to leave a club because I got involved with a broad on my team. Be too uncomfortable to go back.

I think if you use fighting as some type of pickup line or osmething, I think thats kind of cheesy. I don't mention that shit ever.

Just sit around your average cafe in Hollywood on any given day and you'll hear some musclehead hit on a girl by saying he's an 'ultimate fighter,' which rarely seems to impress them anyway.

I don't really train with girls except for my teachers girlfriend so I never had any problem with that situation. But, I figure its just like dating coworkers which I don't think its ever a good idea.

I never use fighting as pickup line or to impress women, but I do use it as a great topic of discussion with guys and girls.

It definitely helped my rape ability. Passing butterfly guard and avoiding kimuras from my victims is a lot easier now.
