The all or nothing guy. A couple of national team judoka are in this list. If you ask to go light with them they'll jump ten feet into the air every time you touch them ... funny at first but a waste of time. If you ask them to go a bit harder then they're sending you flying every thirty seconds.

You mainly see this with young elite athletes ... the older ones have learned to work just a bit above the level of whoever they're doing randori with.

This is one of Travis Lutter's students. It is the best list I have ever seen.

That is a great list, my personal fav was the Class Size-Regulator

i hate rolling with the guys whose bodies somehow seem to be comprised entirely of elbows and knees. you always leave bruised from something and anything he does pretty much is at the very least going to hurt.

Anyone who can't figure out the difference between training and competition.

I can tolerate almost any kind of grappler except those who are boring and inactive and those who are smelly. Spazzes are annoying, but they really aren't that hard to deal with. There really aren't any people who try to actually injury people (at least not at my gym, and if there are, they are white belts who are not physically capable of injuring anyone except other crappy whitebelts). It's really just the stinky and the dull opponents that I try to avoid.

I hate the guys who put you in an awkward headlock they think is a guillotine and refuse to let go. It's annoying because they can sometimes be hard to work out of and you know they will never let go.

I also hate people (especially white belts) who go 100% and try to smash you when it is obvious you're not giving it your trying to let them work

It seems like a lot of people in here don't really like to actually grapple. Aren't takedowns part of the game? Is crossface some kind of dirty word? I would think getting good at grappling would involve getting good at dealing with all kinds of types of grapplers, not just guys that want to play gentle or be ultra technical...

From "the list"

Takada Guy:
I hate these guys, just simply no fun to roll with. The point of training is just that...to train. If you get tapped out...great, learn from it and move on! But not these guys, if they "last" that is all that matters

The Challenge The Weakest Antelope In The Herd Guy:
I hate/love these guys. I hate them for exactly what the explanation says. There is a difference between going with a "weaker" student in order to practice technique, etc...but these guys will only roll with the weak students...and than walk around like bad asses because they never get tapped
I love them because, if you get the chance to finally roll with them, it is always a good time tapping them!

Pre-Excuse Guy:
Cannot stand this guy...If you have a serious injury...tell me. Otherwise...make a decision...shut up and roll or shut up and sit out!

The Class-Size Regulator:
"every now and then, when the class gets too big and the instructor starts making money, this monster comes around and injures about 20 dudes- resulting in a much more comfortable training environment for all."
This one makes me laugh every time!
