I've also been having more trouble than I should be after completing the Homer sweep. My problem is similar to yours, mine being they will attempt the armbar from the back after I go to my belly.
IOW, if I go deep half guard and trap their right leg, I home up to my belly towards my right. They then proceed to use that momentum to ride up my back and attempt a kimura / armbar on my left arm. The position I end up in is also susceptible to the reverse triangle you mention.
I've found to lower their percentages of attempting the armbar / climbing up my back is, prior to the homer, I trap one of their wrists (preferably towards the side you're coming up to your base in). In my case, since I'm bellying down towards my right, I not only have their right leg in deep half, I also grab their right wrist and pull the sleeve in tight so they can't base on that arm. Once I come to my base, I hold on TIGHT to that sleeve - it buys me time to reestablish position and makes it harder for them to start climbing my back because I took away one of his arms. Hope this helps!
