I used to do Judo at Furukawas. Marcel moved to Mady's now. At furukawas we had some MMA training thrown in, Did Mike Nomikos teach at Furukawas before?

also, Tulkas, you should definitely check out mady's. Best gym for MMA in our area. Mark Hominick (http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/f...FighterID=4728) who is originally from London, trained at madys I believe.

Jacob Conliffe who went to HS at L'essor, trained at madys, I think he's in London right now at Western U.

Mady's Karate has a jj club run by Mike Nimikos [spelling]. Very solid jj and judo work, Mady's fighters are excellent stand up with one competing in K1 when it first started. Kihon Karate is also really good, the Windsor area has some good fighters coming up.

I'm just down the road an hour.

its at a french elementary school in Lasalle...

Thanks also for the reference to Mady's, but I'm on a pretty strict budget right now... so Judo at Thompson's should suffice for now...

Mike did teach at Furakawa's. When I first started judo and Mike as a brown belt he threw me so hard my he made my nose bleed...he never touched my nose, just the slam caused the nose to bleed.

Well I had my first class last night, and it was definately for me... very informal, we cracked jokes and just went about it casually... grappled for about half and hour, went for throws for about a half an hour, spent the rest of the time learning, resting, and stretching...

Bill is definately a monster, he kept baiting me with mounts and swept me... ah well... I submitted the guy I grappled with, but got pinned twice, and landed about 2 or 3 throws on a yellow belt (only one was good)...

So all in all, it was great, thanks alot for all the help and advice guys, it was very much appreceated,,,
