yeah at this promotion the only guys who get more than a month notice on who they are fighting are upper card guys. My training partner is the one who set up this fight for me and is dealing with the promoter and he said he is getting the fight changed because I don't need to be involved in this situation. My coach across the state wanted me to fight at a different promotion (and to wait 2 more months before I took a fight). So if this doesn't work out its fine with me, I have other options.
(by the way alot of the things you said, my coach has already said. I have a feeling you know what you are talking about)
Cool, don't rush it.... sounds like you have some smart people in your corner that arn't just throwing you in.....win or loose you want it to be an awesome experience!!!

Man, that is so classless, in my opinion, when a coach calls out a fighter... not saying that his fighter's gonna win, but actually threatening another fighter. It could just be mind games, but still, I don't like that. It's another thing that you don't even know this coach. Bad blood happens all the time, but it's a shame to be sucked in when you don't even know what's going on.

I would post this for the fighters and get their advice. I'm sure they have seen this or been subject to this before. Good luck btw, show them what's up.

Dude this promotion sounds suspicious. I would never fight at it and would never recommend anyone to fight in it. There are plenty of well run and professional lower scale shows around. I'd never fight in any show that only gives a months notice on who your fighting unless I really wanted a fight. IMO you should move on and if you really want to fight ask for a different opponent. As said before, you didn't change the opponent, they did, so you're in no way obliged to accept the fight.
