That just my opinion though.
Oh and Ace (Amy Robinson) went undefeated in Philadelphia, but I suppose that's another case of a shitty Wrestling state eh? Of course.

Yea.. about that. I'm sure she wasnt facing guys.. Amy can you verify this?
Zion I was joking about her winning nationals, she prolly wouldnt even be varsity in a decent state.
BTW a large majority of high school wrestlers dont want to wrestle girls, its a no win situation... if you win big whoop! you beat a girl, if you lose your a joke. I have had to wrestle two girls (pinned them both under 20 seconds) but I was very nervous before the matches. Some guys even refuse to wrestle girls. I like how Texas had the genders seperated. Hopefully im staying with in the boundaries mods.?

Yeah, but that's a chauvanistic perception. The way I see it a Wrestler is a wrestler, a fighter a fighter. If you as a Wrestler are afraid to deal with the issue of either winning or losing to a girl then that's your own insecurity that shouldn't be taken out upon the females whose only desire is to compete. And where Wrestling is concerned, many females have been forced to compete with males because of many places' desire to NOT seperate gender, as a way to discourage females from wanting to compete...constant humiliation from losing to males.
Personally I'd chose to look at it like that scene from the movie "Ghost Dog" where the gangster shot a female officer. And his ganster friend says "You just shot a broad!!" He responds "I shot a Cop, they want to be equal? I just made her equal."

Girls have placed in states before. Joey Miller placed 4th in her state of Oklahoma. Though I should say she had the same advantages of coming from a wrestling family, having a coach that is her father, wrestling since birth, etc. Plus I keep forgetting that there is no seperation between the classes (grades) A girl who is a senior does face boys that are freshmans.
Again, if the boys had the same advantages as these girls, basically they are becoming Olympian hopefulls, then they wouldnt win as much or placed in states. Still though girls wins against boys will appear but in much lesser state/amount.

I'm actually in the Pittsburgh area, which is one of the best regions for wrestling in the US. I went 52-0 win 15 pins, and my highest national ranking was 2nd (high school women only ranking).
BTW- All 52 were guys, as they're weren't any other female wrestlers in the area. The only time in HS that I ever faced girls was at a few non-seasonal tournaments when girls from the eastern part of the state came to town.

Except for Penn Hills which, I am ashamed to say, always has a losing record. Maybe someday...

Not many bro cause it is rare to come from a wrestling family and not just a wrestling family but a darn good one with so many past excellent wrestlers teaching the new generation all that needs to be know. The result are state championships.
I kinda of agree with you on technical issue that guys tend to relie on strength then being more technical. Though I will say to larger guys, smaller guys are techical as fuck! I face alot of them during my kickboxing days. They put more effort into it cause they were in a disadvantage in the strength department. It should be said to larger individuals to be more politically correct but the larger individuals are also getting more technical as well. Skills is the number 1 thing.
Now a 200 pound female kickboxer? Never seen one of them that large.
