When he goes for the wizzer on your left arm I curl my left hand back under and trap his wrist. Hold it to your chest. Tight, tight, tight! Even if he grabs your collar you are okay...for a couple seconds anyway. Then take your right hand and grab his pants by his left knee (or underhook that leg if no gi?) Then you actually want to go flat on your back! (I think anyway) As you need to transition and get him on top of you. Don't worry he's not staying there for long. As you go to your back you lift his leg and turn onto your LEFT hip. That hand you now have trapped to your chest? That's the arm he's supposed to post with to stop the sweep...but you've got it pinned to your chest! Keep lifting, keep turning, viola, sweep and you should end up in HIS half guard.

Anyone better acquainted with this sweep see anything I missed? I think there is a Keith Owen vid of it somewhere?
That's a great sweep. I use it a lot, too. I think I really started using it a lot after seeing Big Nog pull it off in MMA.

Only detail I think you missed is knee them in the butt with your inside leg to load them up. I Personally prefer to put my hand on their floating rib to redirect their weight as opposed to grabbing the pants. I have heard it called the half flower sweep.

no arm Darces are fine. I like to pop up to knee on belly so they can't take my back etc. Even if you don't, if you sqeeze strong and solid, they can't take your back. They'll go to sleep before that. It's a sharp choke that comes on fast!
