I understand you can't explain that, since it doesn't make any sense, but I gave you a chance to backup and correct yourself, anyway.
Instead you used your rebuttal as an opportunity to claim that a person who is 6'4" and 220lbs is "freakishly large." Perhaps you're from Cambodia or a similar country with diminutive male stature, in which case I apologize for assuming you have the same environment as those of us who live in the first world and see people who are 6'4" and 220lbs several times a week. I shouldn't have made a point to bring attention to your ignorance when it really isn't your fault. I'm sorry.

Bah @ gave me a chance. Your initial reply was never meant to actually try to understand what I wrote, but to try to subliminally undermine me, and ridicule what I was saying, which is why I didnt really bother trying to bring much depth to what I was trying to say.
Now, as I said earlier from testament of Xande Ribeiro (who I've actually had the privilege of being able to roll with, and talk to), Roger Gracie is huge, and ridiculously strong. If you ask alot of the older brazilians, they say the same thing about Mauricio Gomes (Roger's father). Robert Drysdale was interviewed by Gracie Mag, and he basically said the same thing that Xande said, however he had a brand new Gi that was torn apart to show for it. Now i wouldnt expect some idiot meathead douchebag who sits around in threads looking to start shit to actually be able to read and apply reason to something I wrote, so there's no fault there.
As I told you before, tell Shawn, I said hi (and thanx for coaching me in the finals at the last tourney I was in), and that i'll see him at Naga Atlanta. Who knows, if im lucky you'll be there too. I'll be the guy with the black lucky gi.

I've heard someone say that Rickson finished some huge % of his BJJ matches using the cross-collar choke, maybe 75% or more, back in the day. I know Kron used it routinely to tap guys in competition while he was a purple or brown belt. I'm not really sure why these guys tend to get it more than others.
So many guys play the bottom game and are down in 1/2 guard for 10 minutes. Kron and Roger like to be on top and go for the mount. Maybe they work the top game just that much more? I don't really know how to explain it.

You've got a solid point there. A good portion of Kron's match against Sergio was him hunting for the cross collar. Demian Maia has some solid instruction/details on his 2nd series disc that covers the mount. After watching Roger do it, it seems for the most part pretty step by step the same way that Maia teaches it. Who knows.

if you are basing your left elbow on the ground, and coming in with the hand from above the guys hand, you would have to have palm up to get the thumb in.

Yes, I believe another sherdog thread ended with the conclusion that Roger is a "shaved wookie."
Still, I've rolled with a few guys who were bigger than Roger--and you probably have, too.
