Knee fluid

I wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with this. I have this large ball on my knee cap that's filled with fluid. It's dark red and looks like there is a golf ball under my skin. It hurts like hell and i can't kneel on it which makes it close to impossible to go to BJJ class. I don't want to miss anymore time. Does anyone know if i can have it drained or any other way to help it heal? I will call the doc soon if it doesn't go down.

A doctor can drain your knee. I have a friend that had to have it done.

Don't try it yourself. Too dangerous of an area.

If its just fluid then a doc can drain it. But see a doc. The fluid build up can be caused by diferent things. Somethimes there is more going on that is causing the build up. I just have crappy knees and rest will get mine to go down. But I've got friends and family that have all kinds of other issues causing their knee problems. Knees can be tricky things.

Usually fluid on the knee doesn't hurt. Since this does, I think you need to see a doctor -- sounds like something may be screwed up.

Go see a doc..I had fluids in my knee about 3 weeks ago..luckily for me it went down and didnt have to see a doc..

After the doc takes care of your knee..you should really consider wearing Knee Pads on BOTH knees.
