Does anyone here know about Charles Gracie's Academy in San Francisc/Daly City? It's pretty close to where I live but I was wondering if anyone knew if the school was any good or not.
I would love to see reviews/ratings on Dojo's/academies all over the world from actual students/former students.
i think my friend went to the one in daily city.... he said a purple belt taught there and wasn't a very good instructor.... but i have no personal experience

I haven't noticed his people in tournaments, so they either don't do well or there aren't many of them. I don't know if Charles usually teaches there, but over the years I've seen and even been involved in a couple run-ins with him while he's reffing and I don't really care for him.
If you want gi you're probably better off at Ralph's. For no gi/mma Fairtex is the best in San Francisco.
well i checked out his site and he has a shitload of blue belts and quite alot purple and brown..why dont you check out one class and then go on from there
Yeah I would try a class out. They normally give you one for free. Training at Ralph's academy in SF is top notch for gi. They have a lot of good people there.
