Can you do Kata gatame in folkstyle?
I know you can tap out in a wrestling pin, first time is a 4 point penalty and then second time its match. Can a person go for a Kata gateme in wrestling to get someone to tap out?

You see it all the time. However it is considerably slippier without a gi.

He means scream rule, where a wrestler is in a position that is too painful to continue, but is not illegal. The penalty for resetting a wrestler from his back due to legal infliction of pain/choke is 1 point for the first offense, and disqualification for the 2nd.

Absolutely. It's part of the finish to a headlock, and as long as the arm is inside the headlock grip, and as long as the top wrestler is not placing direct pressure on the neck with his own arms, it is totally legal. It happens all the time. It's just that a successful arm triangle, once tightened, pretty much immediately results in a pin, so the choking aspect rarely comes in to play for more than a second or two.

However, you CAN anaconda choke and choke a wrestler unconscious while just getting back points. It's pretty fun, try it out sometime as part of your front-headlock series (don't actually choke your friends and teammates unconscious, let them know that they should tap out when caught there).[/quote]
yea did it today and the guy let me pin him after a while. It was funny cuz i heard a muffled "aaahrg" from the bottom when the choke sunk.It was fun to use some bjj over a wrestler its been hard to do lately.I was not sure if it was aloud so i asked my coach and he said that your forearm should not be on the neck but no one will call you for it if you have the arms locked up

Where do you live and what was the actual call? I've used them in wrestling, and I've seen them used since I've been coaching, so I'm curious.
