Can Roger Gracie be the next big BJJ guy in MMA

As Daniel has done very good in BJJ tournaments, I dont know how his striking is

I hope he fights in PRIDE soon

Maybe.
But why not Jacare or Xande?
They have a more MMA-friendly BJJ game than Roger IMO.

I think all three of them will make huge dents in the MMA world.

From the impression I got from the Mundials he's got good sweeps, good takedowns and good top control and he seemed more aggressive than Roger who to me seemed to favour the old school style of a relaxed no stress guard game. But that was just my impression from the fights I actually saw there.

Jacare with his explosive and sub happy style is certainly a better candidate imo.

Maybe.. I would doubt it. He couldn't take a guy with 1 arm down :-(

Jacare on the other hand might have a very good future with BJJ. I see Roger dominated for many years to come because of his style in BJJ though.

That's good since he isn't a Gracie by name anyway.

I say its a 3 way between Roger, Cael Riddick and Sir Watson really they each have their specfic styles (Cael and Watson coming from the same school) Look out in the future because it will be intersting.

And not to hype a guy from my own academy too much but....

John Olav Einemo can give most serious problems on the ground and he can sure take a pounding.
His fight against Werdum, an arguably top 10'er, as his first fight in almost 3 years and losing it by gutsy decision doesn't detract too much from his standing IMO.
He's been training with Jørgen Kruth and keeps on improving and might become a force to be reckoned with in HW MMA.
Good takedowns, fantastic grappling, decent chin and standup and alot of heart.
