For me, I train very hard outside of class to help me when I do go to class.

Every morning, I stretch for a half hour. I then do 10 minutes of situps. I lift weights and run on the days I don't go to class.

My diet is nothing special. I think the main thing is that I refuse to let my age be an excuse. Without sounding all metaphysical, I think your mind is a big factor. I know guys who are 30 that have decided they are "old". It all depends on what you believe something means.

I beat young guys all the time. And, some young guys destroy me. I just depends on who has the better technique (if we are roughly the same size).

I trained with Roy for many years and I know the techniques he shows on the dvd
its not for Oldguy
its for normal 40 somethings that are not workoutacholics
props to you Old guy in 15 years I hope to be you
for a normal 42 year old man it is a good tool to properly train and hang with 20 somethings like myself that will get frustrated against a 40 year old brown belt and start using our youth to wear out the older compeitor
this dvd shows how to not let us do it

I remember Roy from Joe Moreira's in the 90's. He was an incredible grappler back then. I can only imagine how good he is now. I also remember he was a very nice guy.
