I am not over 40 yet(I am 38) but I think it is a decent instructional. It is a little too defensive for my taste(some of the postures and hand positions) but it has some pretty good tips for over all.

I'm not 40 but was just curious as to how he teaches his >40 year olds differently than his <40 year olds. Care to give just a few quick comments?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Is it really geared toward a 40+ crowd? And how would it be different from any other "beginner's" instructional.

I've got it and no I'm not over 40 but it's mainly geared toward the BJJ practitioner who is doing it as a hobby and not to compete. It's designed for someone who comes about twice a week who has a job and a family and can't afford to get hurt every other day so it's mainly defensive and safety oriented. It's got alot of tips on...I don't want to say stalling but negating your 24 year old opponents game.

Agreed.

This video + Saulo's survival postures = Pissed off 24 years old that wear themselves out after 3 1/2 minutes trying to tap the "old man."

yeah i roll w/an older guy and its his whole game, "negating" the explosiveness, physicality, power and overall athleticism of his younger counterparts; i have learned alot grappling w/him and might check out the dvd myself.

I'm 26 and enjoy this DVD- its defense but it teaches you how to stifle someone and Harris's voice is soothing. Gotta love the details in the escapes too.
