I just hate the fact that we all had to bust our asses for belts, and these bums are either just buying them (Sensei Ari Bolden), or making up their own belt ranks (Brandon Quick). I dont knock Eddie, get those affiliation fees and seminar money, that man has rent to pay, but damn.

I really don't understand why everyone is so crazed about 10th planet. In the end it will be proven to work or not work. They haven't proven anything yet. If Bravo wants to whore his name by allowing guys who lie about their lineage while spewing "10th planet will cahnge the world" foolishness, that's on him.
BQ should take the fight - Win-Win for him
I think some aspects of the RG have merit - I use some of the sweeps in fact.....even with gi
Legit BJJ practitioners wcould learn alot from the 10th plaent marketing machine.....

What does my dislike for Ari Bolden and Brandon Quick have to do with Brandon Quick fabricating his lineage and belt grade? I'm just bringing the facts to the light of day. If Brandon wasnt all over Youtube, selling DVD Instructionals on Budovideos, and pestering everyone here on Sherdog (and MMA.TV) about what their ranks were/are, then none of this would have ever happened. This is a by product of what he created.
I find it funny now that his little secret is out, he wants to dodge the threads that i know he's been reading.

So who promoted him? I heard (don't know how true it is) that if you become an affiliate under Bravo you go back a rank automatically (i.e; brown belt= purple shirt).

Fact: Dunn said that Brandon had only trained with him for a bit, and that the promotions did not come through him.
So basically in short, there is no traceable lineage of to where any of Brandon Quick's promotions have come from, its just been confirmed that they are in fact *NOT* from David Dunn, Jean Jacques Machado, or Eddie Bravo. In all honesty this is beginning to seem more and more Gene Simco like as the story unfolds. |
WTF. BQ seems like a cool dude. Its hard to argue with what Darce just posted but I really want to hold back judgement for now.
