If you are going to do MMA, you need to be combining many styles and techniques. Knowing one style is not enough anymore. Preferbly yeah but I know your asking yourself who carries sticks around? Alot of guys taking escrima have a stick in the back of their car. Shit I have an escrima stick in my back trunk. Hell most places where fights occur are in a bar club etc.. If a pool table is around; hey theres your stick. A table leg somewhere? Branches on a tree or anything remotely that resembles a stick. Shit a pipe would be deadly!

I think that if karate was more fun i probably would have stuck with it. Can't get enough of jiu jitsu.
