My coach is from Brazil.
He started training BJJ when he was 31. Older than his instructor and the oldest in his class at the time. He is now a black belt and it took him only the average 10 years. The only other martial art he did before that was Tae Kwon Do so he had absolutely no grappling experience.
You are not to old.

I got a question about the gogoplata.
From gaurd position, can i take my opponents left arm and hyper-extend it across my thigh for a submission?
Or is the only way to submit from this position the shin choke?
get back to me plz.

Both my brothers are doing boxing, kick boxing, one has been in Thailand improving his muay thai, but I think BJJ is more techinical and I really want to start learning.
Any comment on my age issue?

27? Good god, you're a child.
I started at 40 creaky years of age and it is one of the best things I've ever done. Go for it.

27 is way too old. You should pick up macrome or sewing.
