"Best of the Web" for BJJ: BJJNews

If you don't have time to click through a bunch of random sites searching for interesting new articles, videos, or technique breakdowns on the web, check out:

BJJ News

This site is bad ass. My friend Brian has been working like a mad scientist for the last several months on polishing the concept, and it's ready for public consumption now.

Cool idea, bad design job. There's no color theme whatsoever. I mean, there's dark grey, light grey, red, orange and blue, all on the website. And no one likes the boxes of all different sizes that are not lined up and organized. Look at NBC News' website, CNN's website, Fox News' website, etc., and all of them are organized, which makes it easier to read.

Sorry to sound harsh, but that's my opinion and I'm a professional graphic designer and web designer.

Definitely appreciate the feedback, and I'll pass it along.

I can appreciate what you're trying to do but it looks like you're aggregating off JiuJitsuLinks.com for your sources and displaying content from other sites. The site didn't work correctly when I tried to bring it up, but you should at the very least provide a small snippet of the original article and then link off to the original article. Otherwise, you're cutting into the content provider's ability to earn money from their work.

EDIT**

Just read your about us and I see you're linking to the original article and providing proper credit so that's good. My only other suggestion is to fix the color scheme. I know this is your first pass at it and you'll make improvements as you go. Also, promote the Inside BJJ Podcast as well. That's all for now. Good Luck!

Just to clarify, JiuJitsuLinks.com and BJJNews.com are run by the same person.

And JiuJitsuLinks has actually become part of bjjnews.com. If you check out the sources page, that's the old jiujitsulinks site now.

In other news, you can now sign up for an email digest, and get everything from the previous week in one message, broken up by the types of posts. So, if you're looking for tutorials, they'd be in one section and interviews would be in another.

Sorry, i'll pass. This site design is just all over the place.

The content is fine but, a cleaner more organized look would be better.

It would be nice to have a way to share likes with Facebook.

BTW, thanks for referencing my article on mind maps
