on avg how much do you roll per class

like how many rounds and how many minutes per round do you guys do on a given day (average) ... also do you try to spread it out with the people you roll as in have 1 guy below, 1 guy at, and 1 guy above your level, etc

Typically, we roll for about an hour and a half each class. Everyone rolls with everyone else unless we have a large class that day. Then you just try to mix your opponents up (roll with some bigger people, some smaller people, some same belt as you, some lower belt, some higher belt, etc.).

We usually roll for 5 minute matches. It's usually set up so that a few people sit out each match. That way you'll roll about 2 to 3 matches in a row (changing opponents each match), then get a match off before jumping back into the rotation.

Right now, we're not really rolling at all. We had a lot of people compete in ELC last weekend and our instructor wants us to focus solely on technique for the next month. We do some light rolling during this time, but not going 100%. Then in August, we'll start gearing up for the October tourney and start rolling full speed again.

It depends. Usually some stand up and grappling and usually some striking and whatnot. On a good day a couple rounds of full contact MMA rules.

Usually 20-30 mins in 6 min rounds

More often than not we have odd numbers for the class though, so we all take turns sitting a round out.

generally 30-40 minutes per class, sometimes 1 hour (sundays). usually 5 minute rounds, sometimes 7-10 minute rounds. 30-60 sec break between rounds. partners change, usually free choice.

we also do a lot of sparring drills, e.g. one guy in another guys guard, this guy can pass, other guy can sweep or submit, restart if either of these things happens. rounds are shorter here. we also do intervall rounds sometimes (with one partner), e.g. 10 min, 7 min, 5 min, 3 min, 1 min, 30 sec break between rounds.

Pretty much the same for us. Most of us are mma fighters so we try to focus on specific things we are trying to improve. But we also have alot of guys that just do bjj/submission and they make sure those guys get what they came for. Everyone rolls with everyone. It's pretty laid back.
