ATTN: Ryerson Students!

I and a few others are starting a grappling club at the RAC (Ryerson gym) to allow anybody to come here to roll/spar. It is a very convenient way for grapplers from several different schools to learn off of each other and the teachings of their respective dojos. It is also a very convenient way for students to just spar with different partners whenever they are in and around campus.

One of the students we have involved and already interested in the club has worked with the likes of Guy Mezger, Tra Telligman, Pete Williams, Mikey Burnett and others (in short the Texas Lions' Den gym) back in the mid-to-late-90's when Guy at one time was King of Pancrase.

We also already have others interested who have progressed deep into some of the province's bigger grappling tournies such as the recent Joslins event in Hamilton.

If you are interested please post in this thread and if you could please give me an email address or way of contacting you so to speed up the process of forming the club (those in charge at the Ryerson offices would prefer a list of emails to get a good idea of the interest shown as well possible ease of setup).

Ideally we will have access to space at least 4 days a week (at least 3 days is pretty certain) and we would naturally have access to wrestling matts and possibly even kickboxing equipment if there is enough interest shown is utilizing the latter resources.

In closing I just want to say I do realize this specific forum section is seemingly a strange choice, however, the majority of people I talk to from Ryerson who post here spend most of their time in this section and I just want to make sure I get the message out to those who would like to know as well as gathering more info on how many are interested in signing up.

Thank You.
