How can Damian Maia compete? I thought UFC fighters couldn't compete in jujitsu tournaments. Isn't that why Fedor didn't want to sign iwht UFC or does that rule only apply to sambo?

I see the open slots but why isn't he listed yet? I would think he would be one of the first one's signed up?

I heard that its in the contract clause that he can compete in ADCC before he even signed with UFC.

I think the reason there are no big names is because these are all the winners of last year and the winners of the qualifiers. The remaining spots will be to invitees, which will mostly be big names im assuming.

at least i hope so. bc as is, thats a pretty weak list of competitors.

Wow, I wonder if that's the same Chris Weidman I'm thinking of. He was a state wrestling champion from a local high school near mine, I remember wrestling and watching him run over the local competition. If it's the same guy, then he's probably the best wrestler in his division.

Good for him, nice to see a local guy competing at the top level. You know where he's training?

Hmmm is Kaz Nakamura, the same kaz nak who trains with Yoshida?

If so I'd like to see a judo guy work his magic and take the division this year!

Minor Edit:

I didn't see Jacare's name on the list, has he stopped competing?

So with all the wild card entries, I'm assuming Fedor could still compete?
I hope he does!!!!!!!
