I don't believe the divisions were designed for people like you who want to compete up to a division they feel more competative. It's for the people who are blue belts who try to do beginner, and the high level purple who tries to do intermediate. This way there's no arguement on what division you should be in. Your a purple, compete in purple division. Not you've been grappling 6 years and your a blue. you have to compete in advanced.
I'm not saying I agree with it. but I understand that portion of it.
As far as the dress code. I say it should be given like they give t-shirts at worlds and they have done in the past years.
