Your opinion: what's the best way to learn....if different types of classes....

...are being offered?

For example, let's say your school offers BJJ, standup sparring, thai pad work, and separate class for clinching and knees, and another seperate class for only boxing.

If you had three days available each week, would you choose:

a) going to boxing, BJJ, and BJJ again for week 1 and for week 2: stand up sparring, clinch class, and pad class. Repeat cycle for week 3 and 4 and so on.

or

b) all four weeks: BJJ, BJJ, and choose one class for the entire month. For example, boxing. So you are only doing BJJ and boxing for month 1. and then BJJ and clinching only for month 2. etc etc

I been following method A and feel like I am jumping around too much and not really getting comfortable with one particular thing.

What are your goals?
How long are the classes?
What's your MA background?

General advice without knowing the answers to the above q's.

Try to get 2-4 hours/week of training in 1 'style'. If you still have a day left (i.e. classes are 90 min or longer) then pick up one of the other classes to broaden your skills. If you need all 3 days to get 2-4 hours/training, stay with one style until you get proficient in the basics (say 6 months). Then you can think about subbing in another class for some of your 3 days depending on goals.

This is sound advice. From your above choices, I'd go with B.
