I've been stretching the thigh and that definately eases the stiffness.

Don't really fight as well southpaw, but keeping it in mind as a last resort if my lead leg takes heavy damage during the fight.

I dont know if i would switch during the fight. You should come out already switched. If you switch during the fight, the guy will know youre hurt and attack your back leg anyway. Hmm?... you should go straight to work on his leg when the fight starts, which might make him think twice about kicking your leg.

Very cool tips, guys. I haven't heard of the apple cider vinegar one.

Another one you may want to look into for the future is digestive enzymes; I don't have the link or literature available, but I had read that certain enzymes can speed up the healing of the muscle tissue and clear away the cellular debrise faster.

You can actualy buy it in every online drugstore, just google for it. I throw in two pills after practice to speed up regeneration, if injured I take 6-9 pills a day. They usualy come in 100, 200, 400, 800 packages. I would buy the 100 pills package first to test if there's no alergic reaction, that appears rarely that people experience havier pain and swelling in the injured tissue, then I would go with the 800 rackage, it would be enough for at least 6 months if you take it 2 pills 3 times a day(which is a dosis for heavy injuries). After surgery I took 6 pills a day for a month and it helped realy good where other drugs wouldnt help.

One of the must rudimentary things for healing is getting fresh blood to the area. Keep pressing and deep massaging. The more movement of blood to the area the quicker the heeling process. I found that works, as my heels used to bother me from the pounding.

Good advice, except this SHOULD NOT be done within the first 48 hrs. The body needs time to heal. Application of ice is far more appropriate to reduced swelling, bleeding and tissue damage. Only after the 48hrs should you try to increase blood flow.
