Urgent: Advice needed regarding bruised leg ahead of fight

i took some heavy thai kicks to my lead leg thigh during sparring, and although i have no visible bruising, it feels like i'm bruised deep within the muscle. if i get hit even with a light kick on the thigh it hurts, and if i press down on the thigh with my hand it hurts.

i have a muay thai fight in four days time. does anyone have some good remedies for relieving the internal bruising, or any suggestions for protecting the leg better (other than simply checking any kicks) during the fight ?

thanks!

A lot of aspirin, some varices ointment for old granies could help, contrast showers for the leg.

Yeah massage helps, try to massage it with a varicoses creme.

You might laugh, but I actually had some good results with these "tips" from my massage therapist guy:

1) Take a cloth and soak it in Apple cider vinegar (organic is the best). Place the cloth over the affected area and wrap cellaphane wrap around it to keep it in position. Keep this on for 10-30 minutes once or twice a day. I though this was bogus until I tried it on my shins... The guy I go to said that the enzymes in the apple cider vinegar have a positive action on the bruising. I couldn't verify this with literaturem, but it seemed to work, and I had nothing to lose besides smelling bad for about 1/2 hour.

2) Soak in a bath of Soda Ash, Epson Salt or both. Both these compounds are known to speed up recovery from soreness and bruising. Soda Ash is the stuff you get at the hardware store to raise the PH of a jacuzzi and Epson Salt you should be able to get a Drug Store. When you do this fill a bath with hot water(as hot as you can handle) and stirr in one or two cups of those compounds. Then submerge most of your body into it for 10-20 minutes.

Can you fight well from the opposite stance? If so, stand with your hurt leg in back. Stretch your thigh a lot too.

put rubbing alcohol all over the thigh area thats bruised and then use the epson salt or apple cider vinegar bath in very hot water. the rubbing alcohol helps the osmosis so that the salt and vinegar are more easily absorbed into the muscles
