The long-and-short of it is that Tyson was and still is a child. He was 22 when he was touring the World as a Champion, and none of his Family even gave a fuck about it. The more pressure that was put on him to do the right thing the more toxic he became in-response, and it got pushed to the point where he just didn't give a fuck about his own talent anymore. Rooney is one of the people who was close to Mike but after Cus died he wasn't too much help. Mike felt basically exploited by everyone because the better he did, the better they did.

A 14 year-old being able to KO a grown man isn't as unusual as people think, but yes, he did that. Not sure about the weight.

Mike is the reason young guys are not the "hot thing" in Boxing and a Fighter is considered ancient by 27 years old. He set the bar too low age-wise. The ONLY person who was previously a real young prodigy was Salvador Sanchez, who was a Champion by 21, defending in cataclysmic fights, and Dead by 24. But History forgets guys like that because unlike Mike, he didn't derail his own career and were it not for a tragic car accident, he'd have had an even longer Title Reign.

But yeah, nowadays it's all about the children fighting.
