Hatton is awesome, but it pains me as a Brit to see his and particularly Calzaghe's careers drawing to a close. At least we've got other prospects like Khan coming up.

The bodybelt session happened in his Gym up north, it was his final training session before his fight with Collazo. He went 15 rounds with his trainer, shelling out sharp punches and showing good head movement (see how he slips and ducks in close to hammer away).

His style would be very conducive to MMA, he angles around aggressively. If he backed someone up against the cage and unleashed hell with 4-oz gloves it would end quickly!

He fights between Welterweight and Junior Welterweight. His last outing against Collazo wasn't so good. But he is moving back to lower weight class, I hope he fights Miguel Cotto eventually.

kabuki-i agreed w/u before; but this cinches it for me; leben needs to take a break, spend some cash and get in a camp w/hatton for about 2mnths.

their styles compliment one another-an they have similar strengths-aggression/strength/ power/durability...

diff being hatton has refined his footwork so as to take adv of the areas he may not be strong in; i.e. handspeed/footspeed/slickness. A FEW CHOICE STEPS/SLIDES can eff shut down all the mobility and fluidity in the world, u don't have to match ur opp..just cut them off so that u can land ur shots...muscle them around and chop them down.. to where they have to trade due to them being exhausted from wrestling w/u and from taking those chopping/clean shots.

i always admired his ability to disrupt his opp ability to maintain the range they want, either a smothering a guy who needs long/mid range..or being able to get just out of the comfort range or position of a guy who meets him on the inside...
