Training Muay Thai in Holland

Was considering training Muay Thai in Holland and wanted some advice on a good gym from those who have trained there. Let me know!

Man there are plenty of top class Thai Gyms in Holland, jsut some examples:

Chakuriki - Amsterdam
Vos Gym - Rotterdam
Mejiro - Amsterdam
Golden Glory - Amsterdam

There is many more good gyms around Holland, Peter Aerts now has hiw own gym in Eindhoven, there is Friends Gym and Bully's Gym, in other words, a lot of choice in good schools around Holland. I hope you have a good time in Holland, wherever you decide to train.

Thanks alot, my club are thinking about sending some of our more promising young guys down there for a month during this summer. I figured that 400 euros would get them some cheap apartment for that time. Do you know if that is optimistic or not?

I have no idea, though I'd venture that with some of the MT fighters that've come out of Holland (Rutten, Aerts, Hoost, Dekkers) and others in kickboxing in general, they've either got some good clubs or there's just something in the water over in Holland.

You should be able to find something for 400 euro, but it will be outside the city for sure then, if you are not asking to much, you can find something for that price.
The prices LightsOutMonkey has given you to train at those refered clubs are the correct ones, and seen how good these clubs are and how much other clubs ask, I would not call that expensive at all.
Good luck when you come to Holland, you will not be dissappointed with our gyms over here.

If passing through Belgium, you can visit Club Capitol/Les Gaulois in Ghent, it is a good gym in Ghent, not comparable to clubs as Chaluriki or Meijiro, but still a very good club, owned by Yildrim Suat, former multiple world champion in Kickboxing/Savate.

that's a tough one, the housing situation here is really shit. you definitely won't get an apartment on your own for 400, but if you don't mind sharing you'll definitely find a room. as a comparison, i recentely moved out of amsterdam to haarlem (about 15 mins away), and i pay 600 for about 50m2

check out www.kamernet.nl , they're pretty good with that stuff.
