The Training of Masato

I thought I'd take another stab at one of these "Training of" threads and since I didn't see one for Masato, here it is.
YouTube - Masato Highlight by 1000000 Fists

Pad and Mitt work, boxing sparring and clinch sparring.
YouTube - masato training

Boxing sparring, Pad and Mitt Work
YouTube - Masato Training for April 9th

Working Thai Pads
YouTube - ??? ???????

Cardio training
YouTube - Masato's Cardio Training

YouTube - Masato Training for Buakaw Por.Pramuk

I'll include more as I find them.

Another Side of Masato
YouTube - Another side of MASATO ????????? (1/2)

YouTube - Another side of MASATO ????????? (2/2)

The second part has Masato throwing some combos on Thai pads.

Thai Pads and kickboxing sparring.
YouTube - ???K-1WorldMAX20071003??

Great post.

He seems to be a very mentally fit athlete. He has more pressure on him than any other fighter in MAX to perform and be exciting.

On an unrelated note, does anyone know what he said about the 2004 finals fiasco? Was he pissed that the judges were so biased and tried to rob Buakaw of the victory or has he said anything on it?

Thanks for the vids.

is it me, or Masato's training kind of resembles Ivan Drago's training...very meticulous, and scientific?

Masato rules hehe. Anyone know what his background is? I'm quite curious.

I can't imagine he started doing Muay Thai as a little kid with so much karate in Japan.

Wow, I never knew Masato got mad over the refs. Changes some of the feelings I have about him. I do remember him clapping and hugging Buakaw after the fight.

Masato boxed as a kid throughout his childhood

Apparently you cannot read, he was asking IF Masato ever said anything about that, he was not saying that Masato DID say anything.

A few people made that comparison before, especially in contrast to Buakaw before their last fight.
