Switch gyms?

I have been going to the same gym for over a year now, and everyday, in Thai class, it is the same shit. Warm up;
Jump rope 3 rds/alternate pushups/ squats inbetween
Shadow box 3 rds/ pushups/ squats inbetween
pad work for 45 minutes or so, then sparring.
The thing is, this is what we do EVERY DAY, no change. When I went on a different day for a different instructor, I found out that that instructor switched gyms, and it was my regular instructor teaching that one too, fuuuuck. I like and respect my current teacher but goddamn this is so fucking boring, I think I need to go to a new gym, I am burnt out with that one.
Does anyone in here ever just warm up a little in class awhile and then spar? I would love to do that, but we always spar an hour and a half after class starts and sparring is definitly my favorite part.
My instructor is old school and I know he could kick the shit outta me if he wanted to, and I know that there is a method to his way and I respect that too, but this is just too redundant.
Is yours any different?

I'm starting to realize that my gym is more of a serious Muay Thai place and only a beginner boxing gym. I love the people and the place, but some of my trainers are saying that if I'm serious about competing, I should look at some other gyms. I'm torn...leave and get better or stay with friends?

My instructor is awesome in that no two training sessions are exactly the same. Sure there are elements the same but the drills are varied, warm up is varied, sparring is varied. keeps you on your toes

i think the question you should be askign yourself is am i learning.

Have you imporved do you still is you trainer making you a better fighter if he is stay if not leave that is it they have a good reason to teach the way they do so if its working weather its boring or not stick with him. or have you asked if maby we could try somthign difernt.

Not sure how it works there at my gym the teacher is a freindly guy great teacher changes the plane but it is around the same stuff but if like you say its a old school gym i dont know if he will change but i think its worth a shot.

I am learning, but, I will give it some more time and probably switch. AFA asking to do something different, he said "I am the fucking instructor". and I went back to warm ups, it wasn't during class, and it was off to the side so as to not seem challenging, that's just the way he is.
I'll do some checking out of other gyms in the mean time.

your instructor sounds like a reasonable guy. talk to him and maybe ask him if you can make up your own routine. but i been to 2 gyms, and in both of them, the routine is exactly the same everyday.

leave if theres a better gym you can train at. Unless he can explain and help you understand his teaching technique, and why he is so lazy that he isn't willing to make up new stuff for you to do then he is wasting your time and doesnt seem to want you to learn in terms of theory.

Try talking to him again and express your concerns.
