I've been taught to use southpaw despite being right handed the premise behind my coaches method is I'm not there to score points I'm there to hurt someone so I might as well hit them with my hardest with my lead punch. Personally I spend a lot of time training my left arm as it is naturally weaker less controlled.

I write with my right hand, but I'm a southpaw by nature, I feel much more comfortable standing that way and my left hand is my power hand. Do what is most comfortable/natural to you man. There are fucked up people like us out there haha. Also I shoot with my right leg so it's nice to have quick shots right off the front leg. (Yeah, nobody taught me how to play sports as a child, so I just kinda pieced shit together for myself. I also skate mongo hahaha)

Ask your coach what he thinks. Maybe spar a new guy from the southpaw stance. Whatever you decide, stick with 1 or the other until you are a lot more experienced. The last thing you want is to be mediocre from 2 stances.

i have the same problem i don't think it is a problem but just go with what you feel because it will be easier for you and switching between stances can mess people up because they're never sure which punch you throw is guna be your power shot so i wouldn't worry about it too much

That shit hardly ever works with a half decent fighter.
Switching stances can work, but very few people have the aptitude or patience to master it because aside from devleoping power in your weaker hand, you've got to relearn everything backwards. If you have to ask a bunch of strangers on the internet, you're probably not one of those people.

Agreed.
Trying to learn fighting out of both stances before being technically sound in 1 (which takes a long time), does 1 of 2 things. 1. it creates bad habits in your regular stance and you never fully develop your natural stance and solid fundamental technique. 2. you end up being semi proficient (at best) in both stances, but not well refined in either and a fighter well versed in 1 will nullify both of yours!
