uppercuts were always used in mma, it's just that they were emphasized and heavily commented upon on UFC 79

I have to agree, alot of stricking technique is getting watered down. The fighters look like brawlers anymore.

LIke GSP should have used agaisnt Serra when he was coming in with his face down throwing jabs trying to get in range to throw haymakers.

Jardine did a nice counter uppercut to Forrest which rocked him pretty good.
