Russian Hand Speed Training

Try this guys, works well!

Take a punch, say the jab, do 10 or so jabs just normally, no gloves, nothing, then do the same number of the same punch with a small handweight, then lastly do the same number of the same punch Without a handweight again. Repeat with a different punch.

so it's no handweight, handweight, then no handweight

I do this occasionally but I have heard using a heavy weight messes up your foot work and weight distribution mechanics.

Heavy weights cause damage to your ligaments and throw off your overall technique.

I say that punching with 16oz. gloves or bigger is a pretty good start.

yes , it probably fucks up your technique . but ur doin a grand total of like 5 minutes , if that damages ur technique beyond repair ur in the wrong sport.
no , heavy weights dont damage ur ligaments. in fact they strengthen them , provided u dont tear anything. punching with 16oz gloves or bigger is a good start.

try and do like 8 sets of 10 with weight. (jab cross hook uppercut uppercut hook) x 2 then rest like 30 seconds then do it again. im not sure if that will work better than going for a minute or a round or whatever , i just no that that is the way to train for explosiveness.

Boxers been using weighted gloves on the speed bag since Abe Lincoln got rowdy with Alabama. Warm up with no weight, add weight and slap that bag till your arms cannot move, remove weights and warm down. Rinse and repeat.
