"Rumble Johnson's" stand up
I want an analysis of his style. I didn't get a chance to really observe it as the fight ended so quickly. I know he has really stiff punches and most of his fights end in KO.
Also how would he rank among the 205's? (since that is where the top strikers reside)
opinions appreciated.

It's hard to say if his power would carry upwards, but it looks like it would because of a couple things. One is that he's got the build of a pure puncher. Second is often times he doesn't look like he's throwing that hard and yet manages to badly hurt guys. As of right now he's savvy with the basics, and can turn your brain to mush with them. That's a very good thing.
Although, this Fight with Koscheck makes me a bit nervous for Rumble. He might be a bit cocky, and it's taken a long time but I finally started liking Koscheck since he's learned how to Box a bit and lost the uber-cocky attitude. He's matured into a smart veteran, and he's got a bombshell of a right hand. Rumble stands in front of that and thinks he can take it, that'll be a huge mistake.
P.S. - Anyone starts harping on the weight thing in here and I won't show any leniency. It's been done enough, let it go.

He's fast, hits hard, and has good instinctive striking from the fights of his that I've seen. I think he's only been training striking for about 2 years, but under the wing of Cung Le and it has paid dividends. I'd like to see how he would do with someone that can really fight back and if he can really show he understands the science as apposed to just raw offensive aggression. I think the Koscheck fight is an awesome match-up because it will answer a lot of questions for BOTH fighters. We know both can attack and hit hard, but I think what will determine the winner is who has the better technical ability. Which fighter will be able to have an effective defense and be able to counter when an opening presents itself.

I don't know, it might also come down to brute strength, Kos hates it when a guy is as strong as he is, or stronger. He doesn't ever seem to have a Plan B if he can't overpower his man.

I think Johnson has more potential, butt koshcheck has been forged out of iron with a lot more technical maturity.
Johnson always looks very rigid and stiff, like hes blowing his wad and packed full of adrenaline... I wonder if someone survives the initial onslaught how much Gas he will have left in the tank. He is really explosive and powerfull and i cant see many faults with the techniques he uses, however i havent seen any technical savy, just speed and power (i guess thats a technical savvy in its self).
Either way, its going to be a really exciting fight! ;D

Rumble has a good sense of timing. It's not just that he's fast and strong.
If he does prove to have a considerable gas tank, that's very very bad news for opponents.

Well ya. It could be a matter of who can charge forward the fastest and get the KO first. I really hope that isn't the case because it doesn't show us anything we don't already know about each fighter.

what are johnson's wrestling credentials? koscheck will of course revert back to wrestling if johnson out strikes him. can johnson survive? im a big fan of johnson but we haven't had the chance to see much of his wrestling. he stuffed luigi to get the ko but does that say much?

Johnson has a collegiate wrestling background and has been wrestling since he was 8 (see link below). He and Koscheck are an interesting match-up since they are both solid wrestlers that are learning striking. I think Johnson looks like a more explosive striker but Koscheck has been improving every fight so it's a tough one to call.
