Icon3 Roger Mayweather: Mastering the Mitts

Roger Mayweather: Mastering the Mitts

Back in the 90's, Roger Mayweather did a segment for Ringside's instructional videos, called Mastering the Mitts. It was really neat to watch. A lot of the stuff is reactions based such as you block, duck/roll, and pull away, all the while working your punches. The pull away and counter that Roger goes over is the same move Floyd used on Marquez as well as numerous occasions. Basically Roger is 'teaching' with the mitts. He also goes into positioning, and at the very end shows you how to spin (i.e. turn) your opponent with a little assist behind the elbow. What you see him doing with Floyd is just the shortened compact form. I think it's worth watching. Anyways see for yourself, I've uploaded it here:

looks awesome, so hard to hear what he's saying though.

Edit: Sound Quality is much better on clips 3-5, where most of the "instruction" is anyway. good stuff here.
