dude, we just went over this yesterday.

briefly:

fist strike:

pros - longer reach, easier technique
cons - increased chance of injury to bones in fist/wrist, wrist tends to redirect force

palm strikes:

pros - heel of wrist is much less prone to injury, the heel of the wrist will not bend, which prevents the force from being directed away from the point of impact

cons - decreased range, the techique is much less familiar

Pretty much what he said.

Palm strike a awsome for GnP if u dont have gloves protecting the knuckles. Basically if u think your goingto be makeing contact with the side of the head or just over the forehead where its really tough Palm strikes are magic. If u want to breack noses and are striking to the face fists are magic.

Great fucking post... Also throw in some good ole cuped hands-hooks to the ear (not some ***oty slaps, but with intent to rip shit up...) and some good ole judo chops..;) to the throat...

....If you in the deep end of the pool so to speak....
