I know it was lol. It was just spur of the moment really. I had my gloves and an extra pair and he kept bugging me.

Dude sounds like a douche. Shut him up.
I don't understand either man. Funny thing is, he only wants to spar in the dark now since it gives him an 'advantage' -_-

Every time I go to parties of friends and someone there knows I box...some dingus always goes "oh man, I'll spar with you." Nowadays I charge for sparring for anyone, let alone Joe Dipshit at a party. So I reply with "how much money you got in your pocket?" This confuses them. And without ever cracking a smile or giggling I keep referring to that. "I'm trying to do this for a living homie, you want to see what I can do, you gotta pay just like anyone in the Gym or at a Fight." If they turn it down they have to do so understanding that they were trying to goad you into something, that they're not willing to put their money where their mouth is.
Wow that's an awesome idea haha. Honestly I haven't been to parties where people would ask me to spar right there and then. My friend is the only 'tough guy' who's been bugging me.

also, invite him to your gym and ask him to spar in a ring, where its a bit safer than slippery grass.
Funny thing is, I didn't need to land any body shots. I forgot to mention that he has NO cardio. After about a minute he was gassing. Also, I did take him to the gym I train at and he couldn't handle it.

Honestly I don't think its smart to spar at all outside of the gym, but when I tell him this he eggs me on even more. I might just end up sparring him again (during daylight this time) and knock him out this time.

Sounds like you need better quality friends OP. You friend sounds like a real meathead and i've made a policy to spend as little time around meathead/guidos as I can as this kind of shit always happens.

Tough guys until they get in the gym and are blown out before the end of warmups.

Yeah but it'll work for him, too. Start charging him for these sessions. "Sure, we'll spar, but you're covering my Gym dues."

When you knock him out, take his wallet. Seriously. It'll fuck with his head totally. I'm not saying spend his money or anything, but he'll feel bullied. That's the greatest part of Mayhem Miller's Bully Beatdown, is that most of those guys only man-up to a Pro when they think they're gonna get cash. And at the end when he hands the wimp the cash, you can literally see their hearts break. Knock him out, take his wallet, the next day be like "yeah I got your wallet, what of it?"

This thread reminds me of this awesome video I found on youtube.

This is the scenario as told by the guy in the red shorts..

"So this guy drops in and watches my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class and he tells me that the art does not work and that his TKD, Boxing, Akido, shootfighting blend can defeat Jiu-Jitsu. It irritated me to say the least but I blew him off and he left the school. He then proceeded to call me challenging me to a match. I declined, but then he started telling people in town I was afraid of him. The next time he called I accepted his challenge and this is a video of the 2 matches.

The first match I get him with a triangle choke. The second match you have to watch to see. Please note that my left foot is broken and that is why I did not throw any kicks with it. Enjoy."

Friend or not. if its bugging you. just challenge him and woop his fkn ass. body shots should do the trick. I had the same problem a lot in highschool because I was the blackbelt in hapkido and instructor at a young age and people thought it was a farce, and I was only around 140lbs (60 odd kgs) at the time and kept getting called out by two of my friends who were quite tall and starting lifting early and on the rugby team.

Wooped both their asses (one with a panther fist to the throat which left him on the ground coughing and shit for a good too minutes). second guy with a full body kick derailed him. some other retard i barely knew called me and i left him limping for weeks just with leg kicks (he kept coming at me with wild hooks trying to KO me or someshit, just handled the storm then punished him)

moral of the story. if you hang around fkn diks who think they are hard and hassle you, and want to prove some alpha position (all they wanna do basically is gloat about how they beat someone whos been training for so long). you gotta woop their ass.

the dude who makes them put up money is onto something though. i might use that next time if someone calls me out.

Ehhh this friend isn't really a meathead. He just likes to talk a lot of crap. He's still my friend don't get me wrong, but its starting to get annoying as hell.

I think next time he 'calls me out' in front of our other friends, I will just accept it right away and whoop his ass. It's funny though, he doesn't work out or train at all. And the first time we sparred (more like kicking his ass), all our other friends were like "Dude are you kidding me? Alex (me) would whoop your ass so bad"

Lol. Yeah, I think next time I decide to kick his ass I will just go for body shots. And last time he said only boxing since kicking "won't be fair" (that's the exact quote from him).

I was fighting muay thai all throughout highschool. Some kid on the wrestling team kept challenging me to a fight after school.. after about a month I finally agreed.

when we met up to fight after school he told me no gay muay thai shit. so I said I won't kick, knee or elbow as long as he doesnt shoot on me and slam my head into the concrete.. He agreed.

needless to say 2 seconds into the fight he shot at my legs..... And ate the hardest rear knee to the mouth I have landed to this day.. lights were out for about 5 minutes
