This site talks about exactly what throws are legal in Thailand Global Training Report

I forget the specific article but I think it's the Sidyodtong report

PS That site is awesome. It's training journals from a guy who goes all around Thailand, Brazil, Japan and trains with true legends Muay Thai, Shooto, BJJ, etc.

Can you verify this?

In the link from ambertch, they said you do two (which would be warnings) but didn't mention anything about points deducted.

your not supposed to but sometimes when you have a clinch on someone and your legs and hips somehow end up in front of theres and you try and straighten them out they go flying to the ground for some reason

Although hip throws etc are illegal, if you want to go into MMA, or you do grappling, learn them. I have hip thrown people many a time in BJJ, and if you wanted to go into MMA being able to throw from clinch is vital.
Also, I'm pretty sure the non-sport Muay Thai teaches all throws from clinch, regardless of whether you are actually allowed to use them in sport.

If you want to see examples of some muay thai throws look for Malaipets "advanced muay thai clinch" instructional. It has quite a few throws in it and they are explained very well. I wont post any links but its out there if you search.

Let me guess...they banned throwing yourself out of the ring?
Didn't know anyone that was willing to try.
