annoying muay thai coach

hi i was wondering if i could get some advice on how to deal with an annoying muay thai coach. he is always giving me specifically a hard time, which kind of scape goats me from the group. it makes it harder for me to concentrate on my training, and it is annoying.

how do i get him to move on in a nice yet effective way, so i can concentrate on my training, (and not how to deal with him the next time im at the gym) ?

Look at it like training for distractions that might occur in a real fight and overcome it. If it gets too bad, imagine his face on the bags or something like that.

Your other choices are confront him or switch trainers...

you were not really clear about what he does. He could actually have taken a liking to you and is being hard on you because he wants you to get the techniques down right.

I used to have an instructor who would make me do pushups randomly for stupid crap. It seemed to mainly happen when a pretty girl was nearby to witness his alpha-maleness.

The only trainer I had that was annoying is one guy who was an alcoholic and always asking me to drink with him and sometimes to borrow money. I only let him borrow a couple bucks once and it took him a month to pay it back so I never did that again. Dude even showed up to my apartment drunk and stumbling around a couple times trying to get me to drink with him. Once he said he was gonna pay for some drinks at his favorite bar. It turns out it wasn't a bar but a nasty whorehouse where you get girls for 10 bucks...all the taxi and tuk tuk drivers get there pussy from there. Last time I went out with that guy

But yeah we need some more info on how your coach is annoying you. You want advice but dont even tell us what he's doin?

he is like PAI MEI from the movie kill bill. he is always trying to make me work super harder, and gets verbally abusive when im not working to his idea of 100 percent).

he may have taken some sort of liking to me i have no clue. i do show improvement even tho i may at times work at my own pace (but the pace i train at is usually not any different than other people at the gym. he just seems to single me out for some reason), but most importantly i respect everyone at the gym.

He's pushing you because he believes in you. You shouldn't be annoyed, would you rather have a trainer that doesn't give a shit if you improve or not?

while it is hard to take the extra critism when you are just starting out because you get frustrated and you may think it is making you look bad, just lose your ego and take in all the information. You will be grateful later when you have great technique.
