MMA to barbaric?

I have read over the years from the media, internet, magazine articles, etc. that the reason why boxers don' t appreciate or respect the MMA is because it is to barbaric and, intense. I have a boxing background and, have been a jiu jitsu and Muay Thai practitioner for quite awhile now but, I was wondering if anyone else thinks that these statements are BS? I know myself and, my small circle of pals disagree entirely.

I don't think boxers real feelings for MMA are nearly as negative as the ones some of them publicly state. It's a question of PR, nobody wants to recommend a competitor. That people continue to watch boxing is a matter of their livelihood.
